ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS


Applicants to the Master of Science program are required to have successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent university degree. Applicants to the PhD program are required to have successfully completed a masters degree in a field or discipline relevant to survey research. Examples would include degrees in mathematics/statistics, the social sciences, economics and business or marketing studies. All applicants are required to apply on-line through the Office of Graduate Studies. Applicants must also submit:
Test scores from all sections of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) or, if minoring in marketing, from the GMAT Two copies of your official transcripts from all colleges / universities attended Students from countries in which English is not the first language must submit their results from the TOEFL examination. SRAM requires the following minimum TOEFL requirements: Paper 585 Computer 240 Internet 95 A personal statement outlining your study and career goals Three letters of recommendation

Deadlines for application to the M.S. and Ph.D. programs: Applications and requests for financial assistance, in the form of Graduate Research Assistantships, are due by February 1 of each year. Please contact the SRAM office for more details.
The SRAM Admissions Committee admits qualified students based on past academic performance, their letters of reference, personal statement and standardized examination scores.
M.S. Scholarship Opportunities: The Gallup Organization funds a number of scholarships for the SRAM M.S. degree program. SRAM applicants interested in applying for one of these scholarships are asked to take the Clifton StrengthsFinder®. Students accepted into the PhD degree program normally receive SRAM graduate assistantships. For more information on these funding opportunities, please contact the SRAM office. All UNL programs have possibilities to fund exceptional out-of-state and minority students. The deadline for scholarship application is February 1 of each year.
