Brief Bio:

Ipek Bilgen is a 2006 graduate of SRAM masters program and currently is a doctoral student in the Survey Research and Methodology program with a minor in Statistics. She received her undergraduate degree in statistics from Hacettepe University (Ankara, Turkey). Currently, Ipek is working as a Research Assistant at the UNL-Gallup Research Center in Lincoln.

In the past, Ipek has worked on projects about translation in Cross-Cultural Surveys, answer scales and a Survey for the Nebraska Children Home Society Foundation and the Friendship Home and she coordinated the professional seminars in the Gallup Research Center. Also, as a SRAM student, she has presented papers in professional conferences.

Her current projects and interests include methodological problems in cross-cultural survey research, Event History Calendars (Verbal Behavior Coding) and Social Desirability, Faulty Memory, and Satisficing in Vote Over-Reporting from a Cross-National Perspective.
