Research Opportunities and Internships

Students in the Survey Research and Methodology M.S. Program have access to research opportunities through several mechanisms. The internship and practicum provide each student with first-hand research experience through involvement in real-life projects and work contexts. The Professional Seminars open to all SRAM students provide further exposure to different aspects of research and to research skills and tools. In addition, SRAM graduate research assistants collaborate with SRAM faculty on different projects each year.

Internships and Practica
SRAM internships and practica are a unique element of the Program. Internships are arranged with a variety of commercial firms, media groups, governmental agencies, academic research establishments and nonprofit associations. Internships normally take place between the students’ first and second years of residence.
